Each project has one continuous conversation, so you don’t have to juggle separate chats and terminal tabs for every agent. Amodal keeps context structured and memory persistent for each project, connecting your messages to the right project and ongoing work.

## What Amodal isn’t.

Amodal isn’t a general-purpose personal assistant or a one-prompt app generator. It’s for the ongoing work of building and refining products.

It doesn’t replace your coding agents or decide what your product should become. You choose the models, shape the result and set the boundaries. Amodal handles the coordination.

## Frequently asked questions

### What is Amodal?

Amodal is a workspace for building products with your coding agents, tools and machines. It coordinates them through one conversation, with shared context and persistent memory, under your direction.

### Do I need to manage everything from the web app?

No. Our web app is home to your setup: projects, connected tools, machines and model preferences. You can direct the work there or through a connected messenger. Both lead back to the same conversation and controls.

### Can I choose which models work on my product?

Yes. Assign models to tasks, set preferences or name one in your message. Amodal follows your choices and asks before making a substitution.

### How does Amodal know which project I mean?

In the web app, your selected project sets the context. In a messenger, Amodal uses your message and the conversation to find the relevant project and work. If it’s unclear, it asks. Each project’s memory stays separate.

### What happens when I switch agents?

Your project’s memory preserves decisions, instructions and what you’ve learned. Amodal brings the relevant memory together with the current work so the next agent can continue without asking you to explain everything again.

### Where does the work run?

On your connected machines, using their tools and capabilities. A Raspberry Pi can run compatible tasks; a Mac can build Apple apps with Xcode. Models run through connected providers, so you don’t need to run them locally.

### What stays in my control?

Your direction, model choices and permissions. Amodal brings you results to inspect and questions that need your judgment. Actions such as publishing follow the approval rules you’ve set.

### Can I use it today?

Not yet. The landing demos show the experience we’re building toward. The first release targets Claude Code and Codex, with web and Telegram access. More agents and messaging platforms, including iMessage, depend on supported integrations. Join the waitlist for early access.
